Who is our IP Physics tuition for?

Students finding self-directed lessons hard
Concepts broken down clearly, instead of being left to figure them out alone.
Students who want an A in school assessments
Harder practice and sharper answering technique.
Students preparing for A Level or IB Physics
Strong foundations now make JC-level Physics far less of a jump.
Students who learn better in small groups
A tutor who checks on you every lesson.

How IP Physics is different

There's no O Level exam, so there's no national timeline to follow. Each IP school sets its own pace, topic order and assessments, and lessons are often more self-directed. We match lessons to your school's schedule, so you're always ready for the next test.

Where IP students lose marks

1
Gaps from self-directed learning
Topics skimmed in school come back in every later chapter.
2
Harder, unfamiliar school questions
IP tests often go beyond textbook examples.
3
Explanations that skip a step
Markers want cause linked to effect, one step at a time.
4
Definitions that are almost right
Exact wording earns the mark.
5
Practical work
Measurement precision, tables, graphs and conclusions.

How our IP classes run

  1. 1
    Matched to your school
We follow your school's topic order and test dates.
  2. 2
    Small groups
Tutors check on every student, not just teach at the room.
  3. 3
    TGC's own notes
Built around where students lose marks.
  4. 4
    Demos and real-life examples
Physics you can see, from magnets to circuits.

Sec 3 or Sec 4: when to start

Sec 3: the best time to start
Mechanics, energy and electricity here are the base for JC or IB Physics.
Sec 4: still plenty of time
We close your weakest chapters before the year-end exams and the step up to Year 5.

What you get as a TGC student

  • TGC's own notes. Summary sheets, definitions lists and practice questions.
  • Support outside of class. Questions don't have to wait until the next lesson.
  • Free Physics cheatsheets. One for every chapter, with formulas, exam traps and a worked example.
  • Student perks. Discounts at partner merchants, and a referral reward of up to $110 when you invite friends.
  • Snacks every lesson. Students keep mentioning them in their reviews.

What students say

“As a student in the IP programme, my lessons in school were more self-directed... However, Mr Seah broke down concepts and explained it clearly. He is very prompt with his replies, which really helped my revision.”

Rachel, IP Physics

“Mr Seah is a dedicated teacher that prepares the most useful packages and materials that actually help me recall concepts and link ideas together, which is something I struggle with.”

Favor, Physics

“He always explains the physics topics clearly and promptly clarifies any of our doubts and questions. Furthermore, he makes every lesson fun and entertaining.”

Ethan, Physics

“One 2 hour lesson in TGC is able to cover what takes a whole week to cover in school.”

Widya, Physics

“Mr Seah's crazy acronyms and silly fun facts always keep me focused and motivated. I've also made so many new friends here!”

Shi Ya, Sec school Physics

“Mr Seah is truly an educator who believes that everyone is capable of achieving things greater than their own perceived abilities.”

Frequently asked questions

Do you follow my school's specific IP syllabus?+

Yes. IP schools pace and sequence Physics differently, so lessons follow your school's own topic order and assessment schedule.

Is IP Physics harder than O Level Physics?+

The core topics are similar, but IP school assessments often ask less familiar questions and expect more independent learning. That's where small group tuition helps most.

Will IP Physics tuition help with A Level or IB Physics later?+

Yes. Mechanics, energy, waves and electricity in Sec 3 and 4 are the foundation for JC and IB Physics. Students who get these right find Year 5 and 6 much less of a jump.

When should I start IP Physics tuition?+

Ideally in Sec 3, when the foundations are laid. Sec 4 students can still improve a lot before the year-end exams.

Which TGC centres teach IP Physics?+

All 3 centres, Potong Pasir, Bukit Timah and Bishan, teach IP Physics for Sec 3 and Sec 4 students.

How small are the class sizes?+

Classes stay small by design, so every student gets checked on individually, not just taught at as part of a large group.

Is there a referral reward?+

Yes. You can earn up to $110 when you invite friends to join TGC.

How do I book a trial lesson?+

WhatsApp +65 8920 0792, or sign up for a trial lesson using the button on this page.
